Hello All-
 
Lets give a shout out to our latest member, Christy Vargas.  I think I know Christy and I believe she has been to our Duathlon and also the recent half marathon.
 
I don't recall her riding skills but hopefully she can come out and teach me something!  God knows I need the help!!!  Seriously, we hope to see Christy out on the club rides, at club events and if she rides with the Green Team, the time trial planned for this summer.
 
Welcome Christy and please dont make me look TOO bad as you pass me on the road.

And thank you for quite the welcome! I have attended the duathlon, which is the reason why I started biking!! The half marathon, I ran the 5K.
 
You will definitely see John and I out there on the weekends trying to make it with the Green Team!
 
And don't worry, I'm not as good on the bike as you may think I am ;)

Shannon we are definitely excited about riding. What is this 3 state, 3 mountain, event?? That sounds awesome! When is it? How far? And where at? I'm interested! Haha

3 state is a club ride that starts in Chattanooga Tenn.  It has a 25, 62, and 100 mile option.  Beautiful scenery and awesome climbs.  Here's a link...

Willie, Crystal, Dwain and myself did this one last year.


The other ride is a massive ride in Texas.  Usually there are around 12 to 14,000 cyclists for the event.  This year is the 30th anniversary, so it should be awesome.

I looked at the websites and I'm definitely interested in the 3 state, 3 mountain 62-miles. We did 33 on Sat with Willie, so I'm hoping by May I can double that. I'm not sure about the 100 milers yet, but maybe one day!
